Hundreds gather at United Utilities annual Developer Day event

United Utilities welcomed hundreds of developers and industry experts to its annual Developer Day event to discuss the future of sustainable development.

Home builders, construction companies, trade bodies, industry partners and regulators gathered at the Totally Wicked Stadium, to learn about collaborative opportunities to create places and developments that are sustainable and water efficient.

This year's conference centred around Water Demand, Sustainable Drainage, Geo Environmental Engineering, and Smart Metering.

Innovators and suppliers were also on hand to showcase the very latest technologies in the developer services and water management industries.

It was also an opportunity to learn more about United Utilities’ largest ever investment plan over the next five years to protect and enhance over 500km of rivers, lakes, and bathing waters whilst safeguarding drinking water supplies for millions of customers across the region.

Scott Green, Head of Developer Services and Metering at United Utilities, said: “Developer Day 2025 continued to build on the successes of previous events. It was a great opportunity to showcase the progress we’re making over the next five years and to ensure that we’re all aligned on critical issues such as water management and sustainability whilst supporting growth in our region.

“It was a fantastic opportunity to get the leading industry figures in the same room to collaborate on how best to make a real difference to North West and our diverse landscapes and communities.”

Attendees included developers such as Barratt Homes, Lovell, Persimmon, Redrow, Taylor Wimpey, Vistry and Bellway.

The event also raised £5,500 to support United Utilities charity of the year, Macmillan.
