The UU pension schemes shared their second climate change reports in October 2024
The United Utilities Pension Scheme’s report was prepared in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate- related Financial Disclosures (“TCFD”) and the statutory requirements prescribed by the Department of Work and Pensions.
Whilst the United Utilities PLC Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme does not meet the size threshold that requires full TCFD reporting, the Trustee has provided information for the wider Electricity Supply Pension Scheme’s (ESPS’) report as the ESPS as a whole is in scope of the climate change governance and reporting requirements.
There was a lot of information to digest, as the reports were a regulatory requirement, however the Trustees have produced a one-page summary for each Scheme (and section) so you can more easily see:
• The schemes’ climate change metrics
• The schemes’ climate change targets and how the schemes are doing against those targets
• Key actions for 2025
