Building a stronger wastewater network in Rossall

We're constructing a new pipeline to take treated water from our Fleetwood Wastewater Treatment Works which would strengthen and improve resilience to the wastewater network in Rossall.

The pipeline will replace the existing treated water outfall and you may see our teams and specialist contractors carrying out upfront surveys and ground investigations at various locations around West Way, King George's playing fields and Broadwater Wood as we begin to set up the working areas before the main construction activity begins.

We do understand that this type of activity can be disruptive for the community and road users and our teams will do all they can to minimise this. Thank you for your understanding as we plan and carry out this important upgrade to the wastewater network in Rossall.

A spring clean at Broadwater Wood

One of our working areas for the specialist tunnelling to facilitate construction of the new pipeline is in Broadwater Wood. We do understand that a large area of shrubs and trees have been cleared, this was essential to create a safe working area and every effort was made to keep this to a minimum.  As with all our upgrade projects, we include reinstatement and landscaping as part of our overall plans and are working closely with Wyre Borough Council.

Members of our project team took part in a litter pick within the woods as part of the Great British Spring Clean with glass, plastic or metal items sorted and recycled.
