Frequently asked questions

  • If you have no water, or your water pressure has dropped so there's only a trickle coming out of the tap, don’t panic - there may be a burst pipe which is affecting your water supply. Please take a look on Up My Street to see if there is an issue in your area.

If there is nothing listed for your area, please call us on 0345 672 3723 (24-hours-a-day) or live chat with us if this service is available (9am-7pm, Monday-Friday). Please do not email us, as we may not see the email quickly enough to resolve your water issue.

You can find out more about low pressure here and what we can do to help.

  • We aim to provide water at the right pressure for day-to-day use. If your water pressure seems lower or higher than usual, it's worth checking our emergency repairs page, to see if we are working on any pipe bursts or leaks in your area. These are a common cause of pressure fluctuations.

If there are no issues being reported in your area, please call us on 0345 672 3723 so we can investigate this further.

  • Pressure can vary at different times of the day and you may find that you have a lower or poor pressure during the mornings and early evenings when there is more demand on our water supply. Demand for water can also change depending on the season, for example, in areas where there are lots of summer visitors or when crops need to quench their thirst.
