Why is your map 'near real time' and not 'real time'?

The monitors send information directly to our digital systems and tell us whether a storm overflow is operating. We update this information every 30 minutes giving us an almost real-time picture.

We make the data available as soon as reasonably possible. If there are any delays, this could be down to things like network coverage between the sensor and our central systems.
