What are infrastructure charges?
Infrastructure charges are made for the additional demand that each new connection puts on the overall capacity of the water supply and sewerage systems. Eventually these systems will need to be enlarged as we’ll need to provide more water and increase capacity to treat more wastewater, and the infrastructure charge is a contribution towards this.
Separate charges are payable for both water and wastewater connections and further details can be found here.
