Why do there appear to be fewer icons than there are EDM spill points?
Every overflow has a pin on the map. However, the map icons represent points at which we discharge into a local watercourse and not the actual EDM location (which is located at the point where an overflow spills out of the sewer network or at a treatment works) so in some cases pins overlap. We have chosen to place the map icon at the point of discharge as this is what our customers can actually see. As described above, there are a number of instances where several spill points share the same discharge pipe. When you click on a discharge point icon it lists the information for all of the spill points which share this discharge outlet.
